For some people, an auto body shop can be a mysterious and odd place, a world all its own. For others, it can stressful and even intimidating at times. At Eustis Body Shop, we do our best to keep our processes completely transparent. And we strive to make sure our customers understand what we do and how we do it. So, with that in mind, we’re going to be talking about the 9 steps of our Repair Process.

But first, a quick message from Ryan Clark, Eustis Body Shop Regional Manager,

If you are interested in the details of our comprehensive collision repair process, we have you covered at Eustis Body Shop.  Our ICAR Gold and Platinum certified technicians and staff will treat your vehicle with the care it deserves, using our process to get you back on the road as soon as possible.”

Thanks, Ryan. Alright, Let’s go!

Step 1: FREE REPAIR ESTIMATE

The first step in the process is an inspection and estimate. Our estimates are free and, of course, you are under no obligation even after our estimate is complete. Our trained technicians take great care to give our customers clear, honest, fair estimates. We want you to understand every element of your estimate and we’re always happy to answer any and all questions.

Step 2: INSURANCE APPROVAL

Our relationships with insurance companies mean that we can get approval quickly, and we can get repairs started as soon as possible. We understand that vehicle repairs can cause stress and frustration. We’ll always try to keep the disruption as small as we can.

Step 3: PRE-WASH

We’ll do a pre-wash on your vehicle to make sure it’s clear of grit and grime before we start any work.

Step 4: PRE-REPAIR SCAN

The pre-repair scan allows us to find and target any electrical and computer issues that have been affected during a collision. Using state-of-the-art technology and OEM parts throughout our process allows us to return your vehicle to its factory specifications.

Step 5: DISASSEMBLY AND PARTS ORDER

After scans and inspections by our trained technicians, we’ll order the appropriate parts and begin to disassemble the elements of your vehicle that will allow us to make the best and safest repairs possible. Eustis uses OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Parts whenever possible. This means that the parts we use are made for your vehicle, specifically. These parts fit better and let us make the highest-quality repairs.

Step 6: STRUCTURAL REPAIR

Before we start with the outside, we go inside. It doesn’t matter how nice your vehicle looks, if the structural elements of arent repaired correctly, your safety could be at risk down the road. We use state-of-the-art programs and tools to ensure that the structural integrity of your vehicle isn’t compromised in any way.

Step 7: BODY REPAIR

After we get the structural elements repaired, we use cutting-edge technology to return the body of your vehicle to its factory specifications. Whether we’re repairing or replacing a body panel, we treat your vehicle the way we’d like our own vehicles treated. And our combination of experience and technology lets us return your vehicle to a “like new” appearance.

Step 8: PAINT

We use the latest computerized paint-mixing technology to ensure that we match the color of your vehicle perfectly. This technology combined with our downdraft spray booths let us provide the highest quality non-contaminated color matching. Our paint booths are also our curing ovens, meaning that we’re getting your vehicle out of the paint booth and back to you sooner.

Step 9: VEHICLE REASSEMBLY

Once both the structural and body repairs have been completed, and all paint has been precisely matched we will reassemble the vehicle to its specific factory specifications. Once it’s reassembled, we do a comprehensive, detailed inspection to ensure that your vehicle’s safety and appearance meet our exacting standards.

Step 10: POST-REPAIR SCAN / RE-CALIBRATION

The process doesn’t stop once your vehicle is reassembled. We use state-of-the-art technology to re-scan and make sure all electrical and computer components are working correctly. We will also recalibrate any ADAS (Advanced Driver Assist Systems) that were affected by the collision. Modern automobiles are loaded with ADAS features (things like lane assist, reverse cameras, and so many more). Our technicians want to be sure that every single component is properly calibrated and working correctly.

Step 11: FINAL INSPECTION / DETAIL

A last comprehensive inspection is done and then your vehicle will be cleaned and detailed. We want to return our customer’s vehicles to them in a like-new condition.

Step 12: DELIVERY / PICK-UP

Finally, whether you’re picking up your vehicle or we’re delivering it to you, we want to make sure you understand everything that’s been done. We’ll go through every element of your bill and if you have questions or concerns, we’ll always listen and do our best to help.

At Eustis Body Shop we always strive to exceed our customer’s expectations.
